Just a few pics from our first trip in to Melbourne. We took the train in to Flinders Street Station after buying our MyKi passes at Newport station and then walked – a lot! We took in shopping streets, arcades and individual shops before taking the riverside path to the Olympic Park and a walk around the outside of the Rod Laver Arena and the MCG – we’re planning to take in either a Aussie Rules match at the MCG or a guided tour – maybe both?? I’ll add those adventures when they happen. For now we have some shots taken from the perimeter of the MCG of some iconic Aussie sports stars who have been immortalised in bronze.
The tram rescued us from walking back to the station and we stopped at the Riverside Urban Beer Garden for a couple of drinks before getting the train back
